Les Miles Joining Fox Sports As Game Analyst

It appears Les Miles will be in the broadcast booth after all. After Miles was relieved of his duties with the LSU Tigers last season, speculation immediately started to circulate with what his future might hold.
A job in coaching that satisfied him apparently failed to materialize, making a foray into studio the logical next step. It appeared that wouldn’t happen either, with Miles indicating as much himself.
On Tuesday, however, that changed, as Fox confirmed that it had reached an agreement with Miles to serve as a game analyst for the upcoming football season.
Miles joins former Oregon Ducks head coach Mark Helfrich and broadcast veteran Danny Kanell in the both to comprise possibly the most savvy group anywhere in the college football landscape.

“Mark and Les give us decades of coaching experience and an inside knowledge of the college game, while Danny is a polished broadcaster with a great reputation.” said president of production and executive producer John Entz said in a statement.

Miles will pair with Tim Brando, with Brando handling the play-by-play duties. Helfrich will join Justin Kutcher and Petros Papadakis in the booth. And Danny Kanell teams up with Eric Collins and A.J. Hawk.
Miles has insisted on numerous occasions that his passion remains coaching. This is likely a one-year deal, giving Miles the flexibility to take a head coaching job in the FBS next season if one presents itself.
