Florida Football: Two More Players Suspended For Opener

The Florida football team will be down ten players for its season opener against Michigan this weekend after head coach Jim McElwain announced the suspensions of two more players on Wednesday afternoon.
The latest two players suspended are running back Jordan Scarlett, who was the team’s leading rusher a season ago, and wide receiver Rick Wells.
Both players have been suspended in relation to the misuse of scholarship funds which also cost the Gators star wide receiver Antonio Calloway and seven other players earlier this summer.
The remaining suspended Gators are offensive lineman Kadeem Telfort; wide receiver James Robinson; linebackers James Houston and Ventrell Miller; and defensive linemen Richerd Desir-Jones, Jordan Smith and Keivonnis Davis.
There is no word on the exact length of any of the players’ suspensions.
Florida and Michigan are set to kickoff Saturday, Sept. 2 at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC. The game will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
