Steph Curry Helps Raise $136K For Hurricane Harvey Victims

Steph Curry has made a lot of money thanks to his ability to find the bottom of a basketball net. He recently put his sharpshooting skills to use to help Hurricane Harvey victims.
Curry teamed up with charity Active Faith to help raise a total of $136,000 for in relief money.
Both sides agreed to contribute $1,000 for each shot Curry made. The Golden State guard contributed an additional $100,000 on top of that.

While it isn’t the absurd $10 million and counting that JJ Watt has raised, every amount helps. $136,000 is nothing to sneeze at, and this is another instance of athletes and celebrities putting their means to good use for the benefit of those in need.
The outpouring of support across the country as been incredible. It seems as though everyone is eager to get involved one way or another. Athletes in particular have done well to raise a considerable amount, often agreeing to match whatever money is raised by the people, essentially doubling the total amount donated.
For once, people outside of California were rooting for Steph Curry to sink all of his shots.
