UGA Football: Jacob Eason Leaves Game With Leg Injury

The UGA football program is entering its second season under Kirby Smart and is looking to contend in the SEC. Unfortunately, an injury to Jacob Eason in the season opener could prove costly.
During Saturday afternoon’s game against Appalachian State, Eason suffered a late hit out of bounds and came up gimpy. It was just the third drive of the game.
After being tended to by the trainers, Eason was taken to the locker room.
Here is the play where Eason went down:

Eason was replaced by freshman Jake Fromm and there was no immediate word on the severity of his injury or whether he will be able to return to today’s game.
The Bulldogs currently lead Appalachian State, 7-0, early in the second quarter on ESPN.
