The Florida football team will roll with Feleipe Franks at quarterback once again in Week 2, despite a disappointing performance against Michigan in the season opener.
Following the Gators’ season opening loss, head coach Jim McElwain hinted he could make a change at quarterback.
However, despite Malik Zaire coming in to relieve Franks after a slow start last Saturday, McElwain is going to give Franks another opportunity to impress.
McElwain said on Monday that going with Franks in Week 2 was always the plan.
Mac said he is sticking with Feleipe Franks at QB. 'That was the plan.'

Franks threw for only 75 yards on 5-of-9 passing before he was replaced by Zaire, who made the move to Florida this summer as a graduate transfer from Notre Dame.
Franks edged Zaire out for the starting job, but it looks like he may need a strong showing on Saturday to keep it secure.
Luckily for Franks, he has a much easier test this weekend against Northern Colorado.
Kickoff between Florida and Northern Colorado at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.
