Florida State is the latest college football program to alter plans for this weekend’s game due to Hurricane Irma.
On Wednesday morning, the Seminoles announced their kickoff against Louisiana-Monroe has been moved to noon ET from its originally slated 7:00 p.m. ET kickoff.
“We have moved the game time after consulting with a number of state agencies and based on the information we have on the potential impact on the state,” said FSU President John Thrasher in a statement.
“The earlier start will give ULM the opportunity to travel safely after the game, and provide many of our fans a chance to come to the game and return home in time to make any necessary preparations.”
Hurricane Irma has impacted a number of college football programs across the nation, including Miami vs. Arkansas State, which was canceled earlier in the day.
