The WWE Universe has been wondering what could be next for former UFC champion Ronda Rousey inside of the ring after an appearance at the Mae Young Classic along with her “Four Horsewomen of MMA” teammates Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke.
The fourth woman, Shayna Baszler, was competing in the event.
During a segment, Rousey, Shafir and Duke were being interviewed when they came face-to-face with Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch and Bayley.
That led to immediate speculation that a bout match be in the future. And according to 411mania.com, that is currently the plan. If all goes as planned, Rousey and her teammates would be involved in 2017 Survivor Series and WrestleMania 34.
According to 411Mania, which cites the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the current plan is to have the “Four Horsewomen of MMA” — Rousey, Baszler, Shafir and Duke — taking on the “Four Horsewomen of NXT” — Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Bayley and Sasha Banks at Survivor Series later this year.
After Survivor Series, a singles match between Rousey and either Charlotte Flair or Stephanie McMahon would take place at WrestleMania 34.
Those possibilities add plenty of excitement to the women’s division and bring Rousey back to the WWE like many have been clamoring for. Of course, there is still time for plans to change, so we will just have to stay tuned.
