The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to Canada on Saturday night for UFC 215: Nunes vs. Shevchenko 2.
UFC 215 takes place at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, with a last-minute change to the main event. A flyweight championship bout between Demetrious Johnson and Ray Borg was initially set to headline the event, but Borg fell ill on Thursday night and was pulled from the event.
As a result, a women’s bantamweight title fight between current champion Amanda Nunes and challenger Valentina Shevchenko has received top billing.
The new main event is a rematch of Nunes and Shevchenko’s first clash, which Nunes won by way of unanimous decision.
Also on the pay-per-view card is a welterweight matchup between Neil Magny and former 155-pound champ Rafael dos Anjos, a flyweight scrap between Henry Cejudo and Wilson Reis, a light-heavyweight bout featuring Ilir Latifi and Tyson Pedro, and to kick things off a featherweight slugfest between Gilbert Melendez and Jeremy Stephens that is sure to provide fireworks.
