On Tuesday night, the finals of the inaugural Mae Young Classic played out on the WWE Network from the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The finals put “The Pirate Princess” Kairi Sane up against “The Queen of Spades” Shayna Baszler.
After a back-and-forth match, it was Kairi Sane who came away with the big win after a top rope elbow around the 12-minute mark in the match.
Following her big victory, Triple HHH, Stephanie McMahon and Sara Amato came to the ring to present the trophy.
With her big win, Kairi Sane has now earned the right to challenge for the vacant NXT Women’s Championship.
