Week 3 of the college football season is in the books, so ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit has rolled out his latest College Football Playoff projections, picking the top four teams in the nation.
This week, Herbstreit strays from the norm and drops Alabama from the No. 1 spot.
After a dominant victory over Louisville and with a win over Auburn under their belt, Herbstreit has catipulted the Clemson Tigers into the top spot in his latest rankings.
Sitting at No. 2 is Oklahoma, following the Sooners’ 56-14 victory over Tulane which came after shellacking Ohio State a weekend ago. The Crimson Tide then sit at No. 3.
Who holds the No. 4 ranking in Herbstreit’s latest projections? The Penn State Nittany Lions.
