The NBA world is still talking about Carmelo Anthony being traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder and everyone has been weighing in. The trade made such a splash that even Ohio Governor John Kasich is weighing in on the news.
Kasich, who is a big basketball fan, was in New York City when TMZ Sports caught up with him.
TMZ asked for Kasich’s thoughts on Carmelo to the Thunder and the former presidential candidate immediately busted out some quality dad jokes.
“They’re going to have to have two basketballs when Oklahoma City plays,” Kasich said. “One for him, and one for his teammate.”
Kasich then commented on the local Cavaliers, saying he initially had some concern about trading away star point guard Kyrie Irving, but now he’s coming around and ready to put some faith in the newly acquired Isaiah Thomas.
