Auburn University is reportedly working towards making a change at the top of its athletic department after associate head basketball coach Chuck Person was arrested by the FBI as one of ten suspects in an NCAA bribery scandal.
Person allegedly received more than $90,000 in bribes.
According to a report from Kevin Scarbinsky of AL.com, Auburn president Steven Leath and the university’s board of trustees have begun conversations to fire athletic director Jay Jacobs.
The decision would reportedly terminate Jacobs’ contract with the school prior to the end of football season.
