Auburn quarterback Jarrett Stidham is being rewarded for his standout effort last weekend.
On Tuesday, it was announced that Stidham, who transferred to the Tigers from Baylor, was named The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award National Player of the Week for the fifth week of the college football season.
To be eligible for the award, a player must have been born in Texas and/or graduated from a Texas High School and/or played at a Texas-based junior college or four year D1 Texas college.
Stidham led the Tigers to a dominant 49-10 win over No. 24 Mississippi State.
The sophomore signal-caller completed 13-of-16 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns in the big win which bumped Auburn to No. 12 in the latest AP Top 25 poll.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday when they host Ole Miss at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Kickoff is set for noon ET on the SEC Network.
