UGA Football: Nick Chubb Eclipses 4,000 Yards Rushing For Bulldogs

Nick Chubb is second on the UGA football program’s all-time rushing list behind possibly the greatest college running back of all time, Herschel Walker.
On Saturday, he became only the second Bulldogs rusher to surpass the 4,000 yard mark for his career.
Keep in mind that Chubb has been slowed by leg injuries that caused him to miss the bulk of his sophomore year. In only 37 games as a Bulldog, his 6.4 yards per carry average his put him in elite company.

The number is given greater meaning when you look at some of the other names on the list. Notably, Todd Gurley, Knowshon Moreno and Terrell Davis are all well behind him on the all-time Georgia rushing list.
There remains considerable distance between Chubb and Walker, though. Walker’s career total stands at 5,259. Chubb would need to put together a number of consecutive 200+ yard performances if he was going to claim the top spot on the list.
Whats more, the feat came in the midst of a 45-15 route of the Vanderbilt Commodores. Georgia improved to 6-0 on the season and is looking like a legitimate College Football Playoff contender.
