The Ultimate Fighting Championship returned to Las Vegas on Saturday night for UFC 216: Ferguson vs. Lee.
It was a wild night of fights at T-Mobile Arena, with a new champion being crowned, an all-time great breaking the UFC record for consecutive title defenses, and a one-of-a-kind suplex to armbar finish from one of the best to do it.
In the main event, Tony Ferguson outlasted a resilient Kevin Lee to claim the interim lightweight championship. Ferguson was able to get the triangle choke finish in Round 3.
Demetrious Johnson was the star of the night, however. The flyweight champion finished challenger Ray Borg in the fifth and final round to secure an incredible armbar finish to put his name in the record books.
Performance of the Night bonuses for the event went to Johnson and John Moraga, while Lando Vannata and Bobby Green earned Fight of the Night honors for their back-and-forth scrap on the preliminary card.
