Vols Football: Darrell Taylor Suspended Indefinitely For Kicking Teammate In Face

-

Tennessee Vols football player Darrell Taylor has been suspended indefinitely.

According to a report from VolQuest.com, Taylor received the punishment after an altercation with offensive lineman Trey Smith at practice last Thursday.

Taylor reportedly kicked Smith in the face, which led to Smith requiring medical attention and stitches.

Taylor was already set to miss the first half of this weekend’s game against South Carolina after being ejected for fighting against Georgia on Sept. 30, but now head coach Butch Jones has extended the suspension.

The Volunteers had last Saturday off and return to action on Oct. 14 against South Carolina.

Despite receiving medical attention, Smith is expected to fully participate in this weekend’s game against the Gamecocks.
