The Ball Family is very close. Lonzo Ball is set to make his official rookie debut for the Los Angeles Lakers, LiAngelo is set to star for the UCLA Bruins in his freshman year, and 16-year-old LaMelo is driving around in a Lamborghini after being pulled out of high school to focus on basketball.
Heck, the Balls even have their own reality series on Facebook, appropriately titled, “Ball In The Family.”
So when Lonzo was starring in a video full of NBA rookies, we shouldn’t be surprised that he gave a shoutout to the Big Baller Brand patriarch, LaVar.
After all, Lonzo hilariously starred in a Foot Locker ad on Father’s Day to joke about his father.
While all of his fellow rookies were naming Michael Jordan, themselves or former coaches as “The GOAT,” Lonzo took the opportunity to give ole LaVar a shoutout.
