Virginia men’s soccer player Jean Christophe-Koffi kicked off his weekend with an incredible game-winning goal in stoppage time to lift the Cavaliers to a 2-1 win over Pittsburgh.
The junior midfielder went on incredible run to split the Panthers defense before firing a rocket into the upper left corner.
It was the third goal of the year for Koffi.

“I couldn’t ask for a better game and a better goal to win it,” said head coach George Gelnovatch, via the Augusta Free Press.
“I give our guys a lot of credit, in the first overtime we controlled the whole 10 minutes. We didn’t panic, didn’t start to do things any differently and by the second overtime Koffi just went out and did his thing.”
With the victory, Virginia advanced to 6-0-1 against Pittsburgh all-time. It was the Cavaliers’ fourth overtime win of the year and the second overtime goal credited to Koffi.
