Week 8 of the college football season is in the books, so ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit has rolled out his latest College Football Playoff projections, picking the top four teams in the nation.
Throughout the season, the Alabama Crimson Tide have continued to look like a college football powerhouse that cannot be stopped, so it’s no surprise they once again rank atop Herstreit’s list.
Nick Saban’s squad is followed by a continuously improving Penn State team, which is fresh off of a dominant victory over Michigan.
Another SEC program sits in the top four as the Georgia Bulldogs continue their impressive turnaround under head coach Kirby Smart, while TCU occupies the final spot. On the outside looking in are two more Big Ten squads, Wisconsin and Ohio State.
