It is no secret that Tennessee football coach Butch Jones is on the hot seat. At this point, it may even be a surprise if Jones is able to rally and keep his job with the Vols.
If Tennessee does decide to part ways, they will be looking to replace Jones with another high-profile head coach.
According to Paul Finebaum of ESPN, Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen could be a name to watch if the Volunteers kick off a coaching search.
Finebaum said during an appearance this week that he could see Mullen being a good fit in Knoxville.
"If I had to paint a picture for Tennessee I would put Dan Mullen's face on the canvas" – @finebaum

Of course, this wouldn’t be the first time that Mullen has been linked to another job, but he continues to return to the Bulldogs. Would leaving for a program that is in worse shape than his current job make any sense? It doesn’t seem likely, but you can never count anything out in the college football world.
Throughout his tenure at Mississippi State, Mullen has a record of 66-44.
Next up for the Bulldogs is Texas A&M on Saturday.
