The Ohio State football program recently unveiled its all-gray alternate uniforms that will be worn this weekend against Penn State in Columbus.
The pattern on the jersey numbers and helmet are supposed to replicate fur as an homage to the team’s 2016 mantra, “Land of the Wolves,” according to Eleven Warriors. That means there is some black, especially on the helmets, and the Buckeyes are asking fans to follow suit.
Perhaps in a way to take a jab at the Nittany Lions’ “White Out” game from a week ago, Ohio State is asking fans to “Blackout The Shoe” this weekend.
So, if you’re a Buckeyes fan attending this weekend’s game, make sure to wear black.

If the environment is anything like Penn State was able to produce against Michigan for their “White Out” game, we are all in for a treat.
ESPN College GameDay will also be on the scene, so we will have an all-access, behind-the-scenes look at the build up to Saturday afternoon’s top ten clash in the Big Ten.
Kickoff between the Nittany Lions and Ohio State is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
