Two members of the Pitt football program found themselves in some trouble after their involvement in a dorm room fight.
On Thursday, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported two freshmen — defensive back Paris Ford and tight end Tyler Sear — were involved in a fight in their dorm room on Oct. 17. The two players were charged with disorderly conduct/engaged in fighting for their spat.
According to Pitt spokesman E.J. Borghetti, the incident was “immediately addressed and the appropriate disciplinary actions from a program standpoint have been internally handled.”
Ford is expected to redshirt this season for Pitt, while Sear appeared sparingly in the first four games.
The Panthers currently sit at 3-5 on the season and return to action on Saturday afternoon against the Virginia Cavaliers.
Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. ET.
