FSU Football: Jimbo Fisher Says Team Was 'Awful' vs. Boston College

The FSU football program’s downward spiral is in full effect now.
Florida State entered the 2017 season expecting to compete for a College Football Playoff spot, but after losing their starting quarterback in the first week against Alabama, they’ve looked like a shell of themselves.
The team is just 2-5, with their most recent loss against Boston College the ugliest yet.
On Sunday, Jimbo Fisher didn’t hold back in calling out his teams “awful” performance. In an interview with the Florida State dedicated website Warchant, Fisher said that his team didn’t play with enough effort to beat the Boston College Golden Eagles.

“The other games we lost, listen, we made technical errors at key moments,” Fisher said. “But we competed very well. Our fans deserve better, as far as how we competed in this game. We’re gonna get that fixed. I promise you that. We’re gonna compete in games. That was the first time we lined up and just got beat. That’s very disappointing.”

The Seminoles were taken to task the entire game by Boston College, eventually losing by a score of 35-3.
After a heart-breaking loss to rival Miami, the Seminoles have struggled to get their season back on track. They managed to beat the Duke Blue Devils by a touchdown, after a dismantling at the hands of Boston College, they shouldn’t be considered a lock to beat anybody this season.
We’ll see how their performance this weekend moves the line for their week 12 matchup against the Delaware State Hornets.
