After being courted by every team in need of an impact player this offseason, Gordon Hayward decided to move from Utah to Boston. His anticipated debut alongside Kyrie Irving didn’t go exactly as planned.
After only six minutes, Hayward went down with one of the most gruesome injuries in recent memory.
Players on the court were bent over in horror at the site of Haywards horrifically twisted leg.
It was a basketball tragedy to be sure. But heres a man who subscribes to the Robin Williams tenet of comedy: “Nothing is so serious that you can’t poke fun at it.”
After losing his leg to cancer, this guy suited up in a full Gordon Hayward basketball uniform, complete with a shoe bent totally in the wrong direction.

Hayward will return to basketball next season and is still going to make millions of dollars, so lets not get too touchy about this costume being “too soon.”
