Last seasons, star players skipping out on bowl games seemed like a growing trend.
Star running backs Leonard Fournette and Christian McCaffrey were among the most notable players to sit out, but don’t expect to see UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen joining the movement.
During a recent interview, Rosen said he will not skip a bowl game if the Bruins, currently 4-5, qualify.
“I mean, bowl games are just fun,” Rosen said, via the Los Angeles Times. “I like going out there with the guys and you’re in another city for a week and you have a good time.”
Rosen has missed time this season due to a concussion, but he is set to return to the lineup this weekend when the Bruins take on Arizona State.
If Rosen declares for the draft early, many believe he will be in consideration for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 draft.
