The Wisconsin football program received some bad news on Thursday.
According to Badgers head coach Paul Chryst, leading wide receiver Quintez Cephus will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing leg surgery earlier this week.
Cephus currently has 501 receiving yards and six touchdowns on the year.
The 6-foot-1 sophomore has 595 yards receiving during his brief time at Wisconsin in the team’s run-heavy offense.
You can watch Chryst address the injury below.
Wisconsin is currently ranked No. 6 in the nation. This weekend, the Badgers return to action against No. 25 Iowa. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
