LiAngelo Ball has been mostly an afterthought in all The Ball Family drama. LaVar, Lonzo and LaMelo usually grab the most headlines, while LiAngelo somehow manages stay off the radar.
He didn’t know how good he had it.
LiAngelo, along with two of his UCLA basketball teammates, Cody Riley and Jalen Hill, were arrested in China for shoplifting. Now, three stores from the high-end shopping center that they were stealing from claim to have them on camera, according to ABC News.
The shopping mall houses stores like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and Salvatore Ferragamo.
The surveillance footage is yet to be made available to the public as the players are still in China dealing with the repercussions of being caught in the act. They will be forced to stay in Hangzhou for several days, potentially up to three weeks, while the rest of the Bruins will be returning to the United States on Saturday night.
UCLA was in China to play Georgia Tech, whom they beat 63-60 on Friday night. But it appears they’ll be without these three players in the immediate future while they settle their legal issues.
The team has not yet issued its own suspension for the incident.
