Week 11 of the college football season is in the books, so ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit has rolled out his latest College Football Playoff projections, picking the top four teams in the nation.
Two of the top three teams in the nation — No. 1 Georgia and No. 3 Notre Dame — suffered defeat, so there is going to be plenty of shakeup when the latest rankings are released.
What does it mean for the current College Football Playoff picture?
According to Herbstreit, the top four teams in the nation are now Alabama, Clemson, Miami and Oklahoma. However, that is not the order he has them ranked which has led to some discussion on social media.
You would assume Alabama jumps back to No. 1, right? Well, according to Herbstreit, it is Oklahoma who should leapfrog to the top spot.
Herbstreit has Auburn and Wisconsin on the outside looking in.

Herbstreit immediately received criticism for placing Alabama at No. 2. However, instead of explaining his reasoning, he fired off some insults to all of the ‘Bammers out there.
