The three UCLA basketball players who have been in China since being arrested for shoplifting last Tuesday are finally set to return home to the United States.
LiAngelo Ball, Cody Riley and Jalen Hill were arrested for shoplifting from a Louis Vuitton store ahead of the team’s season-opener against Georgia Tech, and have been stuck in their Hangzhou hotel since.
There were concerns over how long the players would be forced to remain in China, but they received the good news on Tuesday.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the three players were spotted checking in to a Los Angeles bound flight at Pudong International Airport in Shanghai.
Once the players return to campus, it will be interesting to see what punishment is handed down.
Suspensions are certainly coming from the university, but we will have to see just how severe any punishment is and whether Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott steps in.
