Missouri Basketball: Michael Porter Jr. Dealing With Injury

The Missouri basketball team was without star freshman Michael Porter Jr. on Monday night against Wagner.
Porter is dealing with an undisclosed leg injury.
Following the game, Tigers head coach Cuonzo Martin discussed the potential No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft’s status when speaking to reporters.
Martin said that the severity of Porter’s injury is uncertain.
“I don’t know how serious it is,” Martin said, via the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “It’s hard for me to say that. But I think it’s day to day. That’s the best assessment for me to say right now: It’s day to day.”
“I understand you want that information. The truth of the matter is I’m not a doctor. I can’t give you more than that. I don’t want give you more than that. It’s not my job to give that out of respect for Mike and his family. So I think the best thing is (saying) day to day. If I had more I’d give you more.”
Porter reportedly spent the night in the locker room resting his leg.

Despite Porter being unavailable, Mizzou cruised to a 99-55 victory.
Next up for the Tigers is a Thursday night clash against Utah. Tip-off is set for 8:00 p.m. ET on the Pac-12 Network.
