The college football coaching rumors have been swirling and following Sunday’s firing of UCLA Bruins head coach Jim Mora, it didn’t take long for a prominent coach to get thrown into the mix.
According to FOX Sports radio host Colin Cowherd, Texas A&M’s Kevin Sumlin will be a name to watch.
For now, Chip Kelly is widely regarded as the favorite to fill the vacancy, but Cowherd was quick to note Sumlin is a guy who could be in play.
Jim Mora fired at UCLA. Chip Kelly will be offered. Kevin Sumlin in mix potentially. Depending on his. situation.

There’s no guarantee that Sumlin will even have a coaching job at the end of the season, with many believing the Aggies should consider a change.
If he is fired, he will be free to entertain the UCLA job. However, a Power Five program offering a head coaching job to someone who was just cut loose from their last gig may be a bit of a stretch.
