Florida Football Rumors: Gators To Meet With UCF's Scott Frost

The Florida football program is moving on from Chip Kelly and turning their search elsewhere. The Gators seem to have seen the writing on the wall, and Kelly is likely headed to UCLA to coach the Bruins football program.
According to ESPN the Gators have set their sights on Scott Frost, coaching just two hours away at UCF.
The Gators haven’t officially received word that Kelly is heading to UCLA, but they apparently didn’t like their chances. Frost might be the better candidate anyway.
He’s already turned around a Florida program and knows the terrain. After going 0-12 just two years ago, Frost made huge gains in his first year as head coach in 2016, going 6-7 and appearing in a bowl game.
This year, he’s 10-0 and ranked No. 15 in the country.
Any coach that makes his living coaching football in the sunshine state knows that recruiting well in their own back yard is the secret to success. Frost brings more experience in that department than Kelly does, who is a natural fit to return to the PAC 12 anyway.
