LiAngelo Ball’s UCLA basketball career is over before it could ever get started.
On Monday, reports surfaced that the middle Ball brother has been pulled from school by his father, LaVar Ball, who was unhappy with the “unfair” treatment and suspension that LiAngelo received for shoplifting in China.
“We are exploring other options with Gelo,” LaVar told ESPN. “He’s out of there.”

LiAngelo was arrested along with teammates Cody Riley and Jalen Hill, who remain indefinitely suspended from the program.
LiAngelo is not the first Ball brother to be pulled from school by the Big Baller Brand patriarch. Earlier this year, LaVar pulled his youngest son LaMelo from Chino Hills High School so that he could focus on basketball without any distractions.
Who knows what is next for LiAngelo, but maybe he can return to China to play some professional basketball.
That’s just the Big Baller way.
