The South Carolina State basketball team suffered a scary moment on Saturday.
During a game against North Carolina State, one player collapsed on the sideline and was unresponsive. After being attended to by the medical staff, the player was placed on a stretcher and taken off of the court.
The player was senior guard Tyvoris Solomon.
The good news is that Solomon recovered and was responsive once he made his way to the hospital. To understand the severity of the situation, Solomon had to be revived courtside as the medical staff performed CPR.
Scary stuff in Raleigh, according to @PackPride. A South Carolina State player collapsed. CPR was performed. Coaches are crying. Mother is screaming, “Oh my God don’t die!” https://t.co/rRi5CBlNPo

The South Carolina State player who collapsed is Ty Solomon. He was revived, I’m told. So that’s great news, relatively speaking. https://t.co/wX1bkXBN4B

NC State took to Twitter to thank the medical staffs of both programs for their quick response.
The South Carolina State player was conscious and stabilized when he was taken out of PNC Arena.
Thank you to both school's athletic training staff and doctors for their quick action.
