College Football National Championship Odds: Alabama Favored Over Clemson

The 2017 College Football Playoff field is set and the folks in Las Vegas have released updated odds to reflect each of the final four teams’ chances at bringing home the national championship.
Despite being the lowest seed in the playoff field, it is the Alabama Crimson Tide who are favored in the opening round against defending national champion Clemson.
For the game between the Georgia Bulldogs and Oklahoma Sooners, it is viewed as a pick ’em.
The odds come courtesy of Bovada.lv.
“With both the College playoff games at essentially a coin toss that is exactly how the early money is coming in 50/50. However, as my experience tells me we will most likely need Georgia by game time, and the Bama game who knows. I expect a lot of Tide money late,” Kevin Bradley, Bovada’s Sportsbook Manager, said, via NBC Sports.
The College Football Playoff semifinals kickoff on Monday, Jan. 1.
Oklahoma and Georgia square off in the Rose Bowl at 5:00 p.m. ET, while the national championship rematch between Clemson and Alabama in the Sugar Bowl kicks off at 8:00 p.m. ET. Both games will air on ESPN.
