On Monday afternoon the latest AP Top 25 college basketball poll was released with a major reshuffling in the top five.
The Villanova Wildcats leapfrogged the Michigan State Spartans for the No. 1 spot in the poll, while Wichita State, Duke and Arizona State round out the top five.
Villanova earned 41 first-place votes, with the Spartans picking up 19 first-place votes of their own. The only other team to receive first-place nods in the Week 6 poll was the Arizona State Sun Devils, picking up five.
