At UFC Fight Night 123 in Fresno, Calif. last weekend, Marlon Moraes scored one of the most brutal knockouts of the year with a perfectly placed knee right on the button of Aljamain Sterling.
Sterling was taken from the cage from on a stretcher, but was ultimately okay after the frightening scene.
While we did not see Moraes’ initial reaction to his devastating knockout, a new video has emerged that shows the bantamweight contender in the cage looking on with plenty of his concern for his opponent. At one point, Moraes can be seen covering his face as he nears tears.
Check out the emotional reaction below:

With the win, Moraes not only threw his hat into the mix for knockout of the year but he put the entire bantamweight division on notice as a real contender. It was the second straight victory inside of the Octagon for the Brazilian.
After the fight, Moraes took to Twitter to wish his opponent the best.
Thank God for the win but way more importantly praying that Aljamain is fine and 100 % healthy !! This game is nothing compared to our health . Must respect for him and his amazing team !
