Former UFC women’s bantamweight title challenger Valentina Shevchenko has her next fight set.
According to a report from Combate, Shevchenko will be looking for a fresh start in the women’s flyweight division when she welcomes UFC newcomer Priscila Coachoeira to the cage.
Shevchenko (14-3) is coming off of a split decision loss to bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 215. Before the loss to Nunes, Shevchenko was on a two-fight winning streak with big victories over Julianna Pena and former champ Holly Holm.
Chachoeira (8-0) finally gets to make the jump to the big stage after a perfect 8-0 start to her professional mixed martial arts career.
Combate also reports a bout between Maia Kahanauele-Stevenson (6-4) and Polyana Viana (9-1), two strawweights making their UFC debuts, will also be added to the card.
The event will reportedly be held at UFC Fight Night 125 in Belem, Brazil on February 3.
Additional bouts for the event will be announced in the coming weeks.
