WATCH: Emotional Dan Le Batard Reacts To John Skipper's Resignation

The news of ESPN president John Skipper’s resignation rocked the sports world on Monday morning.
Skipper, who had been with ESPN since 1997 when he took over as senior vice president and general manager of ESPN The Magazine, announced in a statement that he was resigning from his role to battle a substance addiction.
The news was surprising to everyone, but especially ESPN employees who had no idea the news was coming.
One of those employees who was caught off guard was Dan Le Batard. The news broke during his show and Le Batard reacted live on air.
Le Batard was very emotional and broke down into tears while discussing Skipper, who he credits for being the reason he is with ESPN to this day.
“I know I look it and I sound like a fool right now, but I want you to understand something — and I don’t know what is coming, I haven’t talked to him, so I don’t know how he is doing, and I care about him — But just so that you understand, this person has created everything that exists here at ESPN for us,” Le Batard said, via For The Win.
“He did it because of how he cares about minorities and their causes. So every success that we’ve had — I didn’t want to work for ESPN, I wanted to work for this man.”
