College football bowl season rolls on Tuesday night with a meeting between the Akron Zips and FAU Owls. FAU, the heavy favorites entering the game, will have the added comfort of playing their final game of the year in their home stadium in Baton Rouge.
Akron fell short of the MAC title this season after losing the conference championship to Toledo, while the Owls compiled a record of 10-3 and reached their first bowl game since 2008 with a Conference USA championship in the program’s first year under head coach Lane Kiffin.
It will be exiting to see if Kiffin continue to keep his team rolling to end the year on a high note.
