Following the first 10-win season in FAU football history, Lane Kiffin has been rewarded with a long-term deal.
On Tuesday afternoon, the university confirmed it had reached a ten-year contract extension with Kiffin, who accepted the job earlier this year before leading the Owls to a a 10-3 record, Conference USA Championship and appearance in the Boca Raton Bowl.
Thanks to the ten-win season, Kiffin is already the second-winningest head coach in FAU history behind Howard Schnellenberger (58).

Kiffin then began his lengthy stint at USC where he spent time coaching tight ends and wide receivers, before becoming the offensive coordinator and passing game coordinator. Kiffin used his time at USC to earn a job at head coach of the Oakland Raiders, before returning to the college game for stints at Tennessee and USC. He spent the previous two seasons as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Alabama, before accepting the FAU head coaching job.
