FAU football coach Lane Kiffin is reportedly closing in on a new deal.
According to Bruce Feldman of Sports Illustrated, the Owls’ first-year head coach is finalizing a new deal with the university that would keep him under contract for the next decade.
Kiffin took over at FAU this season after spending the previous two years as offensive coordinator of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

This season, Kiffin led the Owls to a 10-3 record and appearance in the Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl against the Akron Zips which takes place on Tuesday night.
Thanks to the ten-win season, Kiffin is already the second-winningest head coach in FAU history behind Howard Schnellenberger (58).
Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
