On Jan. 28, 2018, WWE will be making history.
During the latest episode of Monday Night Raw this week, Stephanie McMahon was joined in the center of the ring by a number of the top women’s stars on Raw when she announced that for the first time ever WWE will hold an all women’s Royal Rumble match.
It will all go down at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Like the men’s Royal Rumble match, the winner will be granted a WWE Women’s Championship match at WrestleMania 34.
Here was McMahon’s big announcement:

It will be interesting to see which Superstars join the Royal Rumble and who makes any surprise appearances.
Immediately after the announcement, there was speculation that now more than ever could be the perfect time for former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey to make her return to the squared circle.
That sure would seem like a good time for somebody like Ronda Rousey to debut. https://t.co/5fCtKr3tbD

Will it all play out that way with Rousey winning the Royal Rumble and securing a singles match with Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania? Only time will tell.
