Willie Taggart will have one of the FSU football team’s top defensive linemen returning in 2018.
On Friday, following the team’s blowout win over Southern Miss in the Independence Bowl, defensive tackle DeMarcus Christmas announced he will be returning to Tallahassee for his senior season.
Christmas announced the decision on social media.
The decision to return after his breakout year came in order to fulfill a promise to his mother.
“I made a promise to my mother that I would go to college and get my degree, that’s the most important thing to her,” he wrote. “So that being said I will be returning to FSU my senior year.”
