The coaching staffs for the 2018 Senior Bowl have been announced.
On Wednesday, the Senior Bowl announced the coaching staffs of the Denver Broncos and Houston Texans will serve as the coaches for the North and South squads, respectively.
The Broncos hold the No. 5 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, while the Texans are without a first-rounder after a draft day trade with the Cleveland Browns a year ago which landed Houston former Clemson star Deshaun Watson, who was well on his way to an impressive rookie season before suffering a torn ACL in practice.
“We jumped at the opportunity for the Broncos to work the Senior Bowl,” said Broncos president of football operations/general manager John Elway in a statement. “On both the coaching and personnel sides, the experience gives us a chance to meet these prospects and get to know them on and off the field.
“The Senior Bowl has a great tradition and we are excited to be a part of it.”
Representatives from all 32 franchises will be in Mobile, Alabama throughout the week to evaluate the draft eligible prospects. More than 100 prospects have accepted invitations to this year’s game, including Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield.
The 2018 Senior Bowl will take place at Ladd-Peebles Stadium on Saturday, Jan. 27 at 2:30 p.m. ET on the NFL Network.
