Stanford football player Ryan Beecher announced on Friday that he has been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
The redshirt sophomore took to Twitter to make his announcement which he says came last month. Despite the battle ahead, Beecher is hopeful that he will be able to return to the team.
“In December, I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma,” Beecher said in a statement on Twitter.
“I am receiving treatments while attending classes at Stanford. I look forward to making a full and healthy recovery. With the help and support of my family, friends and teammates. I remain inspired to once again contribute to the Cardinal football team.”
Beecher played in all 13 games for the Cardinal in 2017.
We send our best wishes to the linebacker as he prepares for the battle ahead and wish him a full and speedy return to full health.
