UNC basketball player Jalek Felton has been suspended indefinitely by the university.
On Tuesday morning, the Tar Heels isued a release announcing the suspension of the freshman guard and, while there are very few details, do know that he is now ineligible to participate in any university related activities.
“Due to federal privacy laws, that is the extent to which the University can comment,” North Carolina said in a statement.
Felton, who has appeared in every game this season, was averaging 2.9 points and 1.6 assists.
The Tar Heels, currently ranked No. 19 in the latest AP Top 25 poll, returns to the court on Tuesday night against the No. 20 Clemson Tigers in a key ACC clash. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
