Winter Olympics Medal Count & Leaderboard 2018 – 2/15

The 2018 Winter Olympics are in full swing with another busy day of action and medal events set to take place on Thursday.
The schedule of events will feature medals being handed out in alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, figure skating, luge, snowboard and speed skating.
Entering Thursday, Norway paces the field and tops the current medal count, with five gold, seven silver and four bronze medals.
Germany has a world-leading eight gold medals, but just 14 overall. Netherlands and Canada have earned 11 medals each, while the United States rounds out the top five with eight.
The United States has dominated snowboarding events, bringing home four golds — Redmond Gerard (men’s slopestyle), Jamie Anderson (women’s slopestyle), Chloe Kim (women’s halfpipe) and Shaun White (men’s halfpipe). Mikeala Shiffrin holds the other gold medal in the women’s giant slalom.
Chris Mazdzer picked up a silver medal in the men’s singles luge, while Areielle Gold landed bronze in the women’s halfpipe.
The team USA figure skating team — Nathan Chen, Alexa Scimeca Knierim, Chris Knierim, Mirai Nagasu, Adam Rippon, Alex Shibutani, Maia Shibutani and Bradie Tennell — received bronze in the team event.
