James Harden had one of the best highlights of the season during the Houston Rockets’ win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night.
Late in the first quarter, Harden was being guarded by Wesley Johnson when he nailed an epic crossover that sent Johnson tumbling across the court. Harden then stared down his helpless opponent before draining an uncontested three-pointer.
After the game, Harden explained the staredown and claimed that he was just confused because his move worked too well.
From Sporting News:
“It felt good man, I’ve been in my bag all year so it’s just one of those moves where I had to make him dance a little bit and made the shot.
… I was looking at him, and he was looking at me. I was just trying to figure out what he was doing. I was going to shoot it, but I was waiting to see, to figure out what was going on. I was confused. Like did the ref call side out of bounds?”

And as great as the move was, Rockets play-by-play announcer Craig Ackerman had the perfect call.
“Cleanup on aisle 3! CLEANUP ON AISLE 3! Someone call someone because there’s a cleanup on aisle 3 as a man is down!”
Wesley Johnson, our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Houston went on to win the game, 105-92, with Harden adding 25 points, 7 assists and 3 rebounds.
