Things got a little heated on Thursday following a quarterfinals matchup between the No. 1 seed Xavier Musketeers and No. 9 St. John’s at Madison Square Garden.
Following the game, which the Musketeers won, 88-60, players got into a little scuffle in the handshake line. It appeared that Bashir Ahmed and Tyrique Jones were exchanging words when players from both teams began shoving.
CBS Sports’ Kyle Boone shared video of the incident:

According to a report from The Athletic, Big East officials are reviewing security footage near the locker rooms after sources said St. John’s players attempted to get into the Xavier locker room.
“We know something happened,’’ Big East senior associate commissioner Stu Jackson said. “But at this time, we aren’t really sure exactly what it is.’’
The Musketeers will now face the winner of Creighton vs. Providence in Friday’s semifinals on FOX Sports 1.
